UNITY TENT

 Community Health Workers go by many job titles. How to we build unity across the incredibly rich diversity that is the Community Health Worker Workforce? Here is an idea for a social media campaign. If you self identify with the APHA/NACHW definition of a Community Health Worker

 "A Community Health Worker (CHW) is a frontline public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the CHW to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. A CHW also builds individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support and advocacy. 

• Take a picture of yourself with an umbrella 
• Add a text box with your job title or job description
• Add a text box with the words "Community Health Worker" on your umbrella
• Post your picture to your social media 

• Send a copy of your modified photo to CA CHW Community of practice at CACHW2021@gmail.com with the subject "CHW Umbrella Campaign"

• Make a photo collage of multiple CHW under one unified tent to post at your place of work, on social media, or where ever you think it will be noticed to generate interest and awareness of the Community Health Workforce 
• We would like to collect as many photos as we can to make a slide show for our website and perhaps even for UNITY Conference 2022????
